Purification method (care)
About water exposure : Sacred hemp becomes soft when wet and hardens when dry. If it gets wet, you can prevent deformation by reshaping it before drying.
Fraying : If the tassels become disordered or frayed, lightly dampening and reshaping will easily restore them. It is a very strong fiber, so feel free to use it in daily life.
At the end of its role
When the color of the sacred hemp dulls or feels lifeless, it is a sign that it has "completed its role." With gratitude, please return it to the earth by flowing it into a river or sea, burning it in fire, or burying it in the ground. You can also bring it to a shrine's old talisman collection.
