The traditional techniques of infusing fragrance into the Sensu Fan are part of the manufacture.As a result, they became more compact and convenient to carry. It is said to have then traveled to China and spread to Europe via the Silk Road. The process of manufacture consists of 80 details before finishing, and each process is carried out by skilled craftsmen in a division of labor.

How long does the aroma in Sensu stay? And can I wash the Sensu?

Depends on the situation but the aroma is basically staying about for 1~2 months. We recommend not to wash the fan. But if you really need it, we still suggest you wash it by hand and in cold water.

Do you offer customization options for the fans?

Yes, we offer a customization service for large orders. Please contact us for more information.

Are they handmade? Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, all the process of manufacture is done by hand made from masters in Kyoto, Japan. And we deliver the fans to customers all over the world.

Can I spray my own essential oil or purfume by myself?

Well, that is hard to answer. It is possible for you when you use a good spray for purfume and when the material does not contain water however we recommend you to let our servise does for you.

Is there any special care for keeping folding fans?

Use silver paper to hold the fan (included at the time of delivery) or a hair tie to make it a habit to keep the fan closed. Please store it in a place away from sunlight (preferably in a place without high humidity).
